Main
A Bachelor’s degree in any field, any Certification in Sourcing/procurement would also be preferred.
• 2 - 6 years progressive experience in procurement, preferably with a heavy focus on packaging
• Having exposure to work with local and global suppliers.
• Self-motivated and independent, with the ability to influence others without direct control.
• Detail obsessed with a resourceful mindset
• Able to work autonomously and still meet aggressive deadlines
• Excellent Microsoft Office knowledge, spreadsheets, data consolidation and segmentation using the Microsoft XLS. Flair for preparing Power Point presentations, MIS and cost sheets.
Responsibilities
Identifying and implementing cost reduction and value engineering projects for Raw Materials/Chemicals and packaging materials across multiple locations.
• Should be proficient in spend cube analysis to identify potential sourcing projects.
• Should be well versed with cost structures of major packaging materials like rigid packaging/Molded components, cartons, labels, laminates, sleeves, aluminum tubes, leaflets etc. should be able to understand Molds
development activities from sourcing standpoint.
• Monitor feedstock’s/Polymer prices, analyze impact on RM/PM materials and take necessary actions. Should be well versed with global price trends of major commodities since incumbent would be dealing in multiple categories with global suppliers.
• Should have understanding of Organic, In-Organic and Specialty chemicals.
• Building and managing relationship with Global suppliers. Should be well versed with export-import procedures.
• Responsible for Marketing/Promo products procurement across multiple locations.
• Good to have worked with multi-cultural and multi locational teams.
