Position : Legal Analyst- Technology, IP and Commercial Contracts Review
Location : Bangalore
Qualification : LLB / LLM with 2-5 yrs of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications :
• Good grounding in general commercial and technology contracts required.
• Familiarity with the various jurisdictions including Australia helpful.
• Maturity, flexibility, and sound judgment required.
• Ability to priorities conflicting demands necessary.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written required, plus proven negotiation skills required.
• Team player with the ability to respond to client demands while adhering to firm policies and practices.
Job Responsibilities :
Responsible for drafting/reviewing/negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts subject to laws of various Asian and Australian jurisdictions, often working from a range of template forms. The range of contracts may include;
• Agreements for the supply of a wide range of office and business services;
• Subscription agreements for market data and corporate reference data services;
• Software license agreements, hardware purchase agreements, systems maintenance;
• Telecommunications contracts;
• Software and service evaluations;
• Confidentiality agreements;
• Index licenses;
• Publishing contracts;
• Extensions, amendments, renewals, novations, terminations.
• Extensive contact with business personnel within the firm, and with external suppliers.
• Assisting business personnel in relation to questions relating to contractual arrangements with existing suppliers/licensees.
• Advice in relation to copyright inquiries regarding use of third party materials.
• Role may involve working with foreign counsel in relation to contracts subject to foreign laws.
